This is an adaptive reuse project where our site was a forgotten university library with lasting scars from the Bosnian War of 1992.

The goal of our intervention was to create a multi-functional public space for the people to come together. We sought an adaptable, low profile system, which consists of telestrut columns and beams with curtain tracks.

The curtains soften the surrounding environment, and lower systems allow for adjustment, allowing the interior of the building to transform for what is needed- from intimate small-scale conversation, to large gatherings.

The physical model, plans, and section perspectives were split between myself and a partner, Sara Garcia.
